Does my customer need an app?

No. Check-in runs through a link in the browser.

How does the card deposit work?

Request the deposit by link, QR code or email. The amount is held on the card, not charged. At the end you release it or keep part of it. This works with cards only, and the hold lasts 7 to 30 days depending on the card and Stripe account.

Is the licence checked automatically?

For ID documents the app checks the machine-readable zone. For licences it reads the data, but you need to check it yourself.
